Tom Hobson knows that there
is more to life than crops or steers. This tall, strong man has
a dream and he intends to earn it in B. L. Strong’s The
Dream, The Man.
From a lonely life on the
prairie through the crashing onslaught of the Civil War, Tom
stays true to the beliefs with which he was raised. He was
taught to work hard, to treat the land and the people with
respect, and to stand up for what is right.
Set in the days when the
United States was a young, growing country, The Dream, The
Man is the story of Tom’s journey. As Tom faces bullies,
loneliness, the Civil War, a stampede and evil men in pursuit of
money, power and revenge, he invokes the American virtues of
old.
It is a saga of courage,
optimism and hope. This is the fabric from which rose America.
About the Author

B. L. Strong lives in Salt
Lake City, Utah with his wife and children. Of his motivation
in writing The Dream, The Man, he says, “I believe
America is the result of what we all bring to it. Through it's
founding on up to now, America is the culmination of our
dreams. It is our ‘stick to it’ drive that builds that dream
and our basic goodness and fairness that makes it last through
time.”
